This is the the technology/protocol used by the mesh4x branded tools. As Ed knows the service there is more featured than the bare-bones iNSTEDD one, but doesn't have the RDF bits mentioned above. As Ed mentions the more services out there the better tested these technologies are. More on that soon from me! feedsync.mslivelabs.com works fine as a reference implementation (been there for 2+ years), and is something to test apps against and check interoperability.

On the broader issue one of the intitial goals for FeedSync was interoperabilty between endpoints. Hopefully soon we'll see more applications and solutions/adapters running FeedSync.Nigel Snoad (Microsoft Humanitarian Systems)noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5574076.post-82270656045850857882008-10-28T16:16:00.000-07:002008-10-28T16:16:00.000-07:00I'm afraid I don't have knowledge/experience with ...I'm afraid I don't have knowledge/experience with any open source schema mapping tools, but of course it's not needed when using db4o ;-). I'm using the .NET db4o version for a couple of GIS projects presently in development and so far our experience is excellent! I'm particularly interested in applying it for graph oriented data such as rdf and owl.Bradhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03830395439270221641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5574076.post-83848853049673987702008-10-28T16:03:00.000-07:002008-10-28T16:03:00.000-07:00Brad, thanks for the tip. Are you using it success...Brad, thanks for the tip. Are you using it successfully? doing an adapter in either language is pretty simple (basically implementing classic CRUD functions). I'm looking for a good open-source schema mapping tool with a nice GUI, any pointers on that?Eduardo Jezierskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12759252532966274907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5574076.post-62667033642803281572008-10-28T15:29:00.000-07:002008-10-28T15:29:00.000-07:00Have you considered db4o?
